We purchased our conversion last Friday 2nd December, just in time to take my husband, Paul, to the up and coming Christmas events as well as doctor's appointments rather than relying on taxis. As we are pensioners we struggle to make ends meet & were only lucky enough to purchase this Freedom Converted Renault Kangoo due to some lost superannuation funds. So, we traded in our 13 yr old Mazda 323 and purchased a new Renault Kangoo from Peter Warren Automotive & then took it to Freedom Motors who transformed this van into a vehicle which will now bring a freedom & ease of transportation which was totally out of our grasp before.
At 63yrs of age we can now go to the doctor stress free in our own time not waiting & wondering if a taxi would turn up on time or not. I am also able to take Paul to his weekly exercises at the Studdy MS Centre as well as the occasional trip to the cinema or the shopping centre for a coffee on our own time.
The Freedom staff were extremely helpful, reassuring us that all would be fine. And indeed it was.
Our conversion consisted of a lightweight manual fold down rear entry ramp with easy-up assist; a wide dropped floor with built in safety cage which was fully carpeted; 4 wheelchair anchor points with tie-downs & a lap belt; a single rear seat forward facing; rear windows (sliding & fixed). Plus rear & side windows were tinted. The vehicle also came with an engineering certificate & weigh bridge ticket plus a 5 year warranty or 100,000km Limited Warranty on the conversion.
As you can see by the smiles on our faces, life will be so much better thanks to Freedom Motors and our beautiful newly converted Renault Kangoo. This photo was taken on Friday when I brought the Kangoo home & took Paul for a drive down the street. Our first proper trip will be this Thursday to Studdy MS Centre for our annual Christmas morning tea with the MS Gym.
