Freedom Motors Australia, Thank you for making our lives easier and more enjoyable!!! Our daughter Chloe was like any normal 3 year old girl, running, skipping and dancing when she contracted a vomiting virus, the following week Chloe could no longer walk on her own. Chloe has been diagnosed with a rare brain disease called Vanishing White Matter Disease (a type of Leukodystrophy) which causes her motor skills to deteriorate. Within one year Chloe was in a wheelchair and I found myself lifting Chloe and the wheelchair in and out of our car up to 4 times a day, with school runs for her sister Madeleine, after school activities and normal daily running around. We decided it was time to start looking at which vehicle conversion options were available. After making several calls to different suppliers, we found that Carolyn from Freedom Motors was available anytime we needed to ask anything and even offered to drive from Sydney down to Wollongong to show us the vehicle. We decided to travel to St Mary’s to see the conversions available, as well as the work shop and we were very impressed by what we saw. We had exceptional service from Carolyn from the very first phone call, which has followed through to Richard in the service department who has also been available for any queries we have had. Thank goodness we started the process of ordering the car when we did, as the week prior to receiving the finished conversion, my back went on me completely and I couldn’t lift Chloe or the wheelchair anymore, my husband had to have a week off work to look after our two girls. I absolutely love the fact that I open the rear door and push a button and the ramp lowers automatically – no more lifting!!! Chloe is wheeled up the ramp and the wheelchair locks into place with the “Freedom Dock”. The additional seats we have in the rear means that we can take the girl’s friend’s places as well. The finished product is very professional and looks great. I would definitely recommend speaking with Freedom Motors before looking anywhere else for a conversion.
