TESTIMONIAL (WA)
The Kia Carnival and Freedom Motors conversion have come together well and I am now driving it around the North West and living in Exmouth. I threw it into full use straight away and a 12 hour drive from Perth to Carnarvon was how it was broken in with the power of the V6 being very comforting to have when needing to overtake. The hand controls were smooth and well placed and work well together with the cruise control. It took a while to get full confidence in the electronics and docking system but when you get use to it and realize that you can manually override the system if need be and won’t ever be locked in for keeps it is great. I like to drive myself and the Ricon seat system functions really well and along with the recline buttons the car comes with you can vary your seating position simply and easily when stopping for a rest. It is a really nice experience to be driven around in it too! My wife can sit in the driver’s seat and not even have to get out putting down the ramp and letting me drive in and lock myself into the docking system. With the lowered floor you have panoramic views and in the Kia Carnival you are positioned between four A/C vents with your own climate control knob. The freedom obtained from being able to get around with my electric chair when going somewhere is what it was mainly about and it does that brilliantly. It is indeed a very smooth form of transport, especially on long drives. Garry was very helpful from the outset and considering I was in WA and it all had to be sorted out over the phone the end result was a good one. I would recommend Freedom Motors for any one wanting a van conversion that wants to make transporting yourself and a chair no worries.
Thanks a lot. Chris Sammons.
