To Freedom Motors. At last some freedom from pain. After struggling for the past six or seven years with wrist and upper arm pain, (having ruptured my biceps), which makes mobility difficult during transferring, folding and lifting my manual wheelchair into and out of my cars or onto a hoist (that didn’t work correctly), it was a pleasure to collect my Kia Grand Carnival on the 26th of March 2009, which had been converted by Freedom Motors as a self drive vehicle, what a relief on the upper limbs. I have been in a wheelchair for 34 years and participated in a wide range of activities to keep fit, including swimming and archery, proudly representing my town, state and country with my archery, unfortunately, I am no longer able to compete or even use a bow. I also wanted to enjoy my life as much as possible by being independent, as does everyone, so didn’t let being in a chair stop my physical activities and my daily work until the above injuries caused so much pain that it was getting impossible to even enjoy going for a drive, but now, thanks to Freedom Motors and their wonderful staff and service, even toward country people, it is so easy to get into the car and go driving wherever and whenever I wish to. I first saw the self drive Kia Grand Carnival that one of my friends had converted by Freedom Motors some years ago and thought it was a great idea so when I needed to go that way I decided that Freedom Motors would be the people for me and they were great. My wife and I would highly recommend anyone wanting to have a conversion done for either self drive or passenger wheelchair users to have Garry and the staff at Freedom Motors discuss your needs
